This post brought to you by Walmart. All opinions are 100% mine.
It’s no secret that I am desperately trying to eat better. Sure, I’ve got the exercise thing down now that I’ve joined a gym, but some days my food choices are so poor that I feel like a hypocrite making my kids eat healthy!
So I’ve been taking strides to toss out my junky food and cook healthy meals that everyone in my house will like…which is why I was super excited to hear that Walmart is doing this whole healthy living initiative! Why? Because Walmart is donating more than $9.5 million dollars in grants to communities all over which will be used partly for nutrition classes and healthy cooking classes, while shopping on a budget. But Holly, isn’t your husband a chef? Is that what you’re saying? Yes, he is, but I always feel so inadequate next to him in the kitchen…and here you can see a video showing how shopping matter!
Another thing I’m really excited for is that the Action For Healthy Kids is getting $1.5 million to get healthier foods into the schools! That is so awesome! My boys love to buy breakfast and lunch but there are days I cringe and beg them to let me pack for them, knowing that the school lunch that day is less than excellent…
]Walmart has tapped the expertise of awards winning journalist and Ph.D. Dr Ro to help families plan healthy meals on a budget…she has appeared on Dr. Oz, The View, and more! You can read more about her here.
Are you trying to be healthier this year? What are you doing to get there?
