I’m kind of a brat.
I’ll admit it.
I love to receive. Yup, wrap it up and put a big bow on it, cuz I like me some presents…
Of course I like to give too…I spend too much time thinking about Christmas presents for my family and kids…and, much to Eric’s dismay, I usually spend more than we had planned for…
But to receive…yes…I prefer to receive…in all aspects on my life…not just when we’re chatting about presents…and here’s why…
1. Hairballs. I’ve seen cats hock those bad boys up, and it ain’t pretty…can you imagine me trying to hock one of those suckers up? Blech…
2. My mom always told me that nice girls don’t spit. And believe me…my mom’s one smart cookie…
3.I’m on a low sodium diet..too much salt and I blow up like a whale…and we all know how concerned I am about my looks…gotta keep looking cute…
4. I have super sensitive teeth, the silk from corn on the cob annoys me beyond belief…I can’t imagine having anything else stuck in there while trying to do my sexy thang…
5. I was always told as a child to never talk with your mouth full…and I’m a chatty kinda gal…always…
6. I bruise easily and knee pads are so unfashionable…sort of like shoulder pads…and although the kids have sucked most of my style away from me I refuse to wear padding of any sort…
Of course, don’t think I’m a horrible wife…I am a giver…but to receive…ahhh…yes…to receive is the better end of the stick…
*today I’m over at Confessions of a Semi-Slacker Mom guest posting…only because Tracy asked since she’s such a slacker she can’t write her own damn post…so go check me out…and tell Tracy hi from me

I'm right there with you, honey!
And thanks for the post. You rock.
I don't like receiving. Or giving. I'm a horrible person.
Hairballs, the gift that keeps on getting given and give and given…
So you're two-timing me? There's another Tracy in your life? Well? Is there? Don't deny it. Is she prettier than me? Is she a better stalker than me? How could you. I gave you the best comments of my life….and you…you…have someone else named Tracy. I cannot believe you did this to me….after all the emails we've shared. Well, all I can say is, I hope you're happy with her. You two deserve each other. That's right. I said it.
I have gotten over receiving because its usually not so great. My family forgets my b-day and my husband (aside for this year) normally isn't very present minded.
I have so much fun planning the giving and am so disappointed when there is so little thought to what people give to me…makes the receiving not as much fun.
LOL! I was on #4 before I even realized what you were referring to! Shows how "giving" I am. . .
Hi! Stopping by from the Alexa hop…and I'm with you. Boy, I sure like to receive — just as much as I like to give!

That was great! I'm now a follower too, because I'm WAY WAY WAY less than perfect. I'm more like a complete slacker mom. LOL.
